Welcome to the Àncora House!

Let me introduce you to the quiet comfort of our fully-renovated two-bedroom, two-bathroom ground-floor apartment in the heart of Madrid, Spain.

The Àncora house is located in a quiet residential area, five-minutes walk from Atocha Station. From your apartment, you can access the world. Literally! A walk to Atocha Train Station gives you access to the metro, the suburban lines, the grand lines and direct access to Barajas Airport. And when you’re feeling up for exploring the city on foot, Sol and Plaza Mayor, the very center of the city, are about a 25 minute walk.

Inside, the space is bright, modern and cozy. There are no steps, so access to your front door is quick and easy. There is a fully-stocked kitchen, equipped with oven, range, microwave, fridge, freezer, toaster, rapid teapot, coffee pod machine, cafetera, french-press, blender, pots, pans, dishes, bowls, beverage-ware and silverware. There are even spices, olive oil and vinegar to make an emergency salad. And of course, a bottle opener!

The dining area seats up to six, and the living room has a plush, comfy sofa. It’s the perfect spot for reading a great novel, or people watching out the french door. There is a sitting room/office off the living room in the front of the house with a french door, closets, drawers, a smart-TV, a loveseat that converts to a bed for two, and a desk. The main bedroom is in the back of the house. It comes with closets, drawers an en-suite bathroom with towel drying rack, and two sliding glass doors, with gate that leads to a beautiful private patio. On the patio there is a table and chairs for outdoor dining. From April to August the patio gets direct sunlight. The washer, dryer and gas tank can be found here too, behind the metal door. Smoking is not permitted in the house, however, there is an ashtray in the gray outdoor bin on the patio. There is a second full bathroom to the right of the kitchen, also with towel drying rack.

The house has both central air conditioning (A/C) and heat, and each room has ceiling fans.
